Phagocytosis

In non-specific defence, the most important barrier to the spread of microorganisms is their destruction by phagocytes. Phagocytosis is the ability of professional phagocytes to recognize, absorb, kill and degrade foreign material.

The interactive presentation contains study material about cells that provide immune responses and a set of test questions. Through these questions the students can verify the acquired knowledge with the possibility of feedback.
